Benefit Communication: Reaching Out to Employees All Over the World

Benefit Communication:
Reaching Out to Employees All Over the World

Universal Rx has many strategies for communicating benefits to our Clients' employees the United States and in 140 countries worldwide.

Based on our extensive experience with communicating benefits to plan members, we have been successful in communicating through mail, telephone, e-mail, websites, and through Regional Directors in domestic and overseas locations. Communication through regular mail service is not always an option for expatriate employees working or living overseas because of the unreliability of mail delivery in remote locations.

Communication Support

Website Communication

The websites operated by Universal Rx and our clients have served as valuable informational sites to plan members. Downloadable brochures, formularies, and order forms are available through the Universal Rx and Expatriate Prescription Services (EPS) websites for overseas plan members. Members may also search for a participating pharmacy nearest to them on the Universal Rx website.

Telephone Communication

Many employees rely heavily on e-mail communications. Universal Rx is able to accommodate this as well as provide the option of telephone communication if that makes communication more effective. In our experience, we have found most international employees prefer e-mail communication over telephonic communication because of time differences and convenience.

E-mail Communication

We have also worked with our clients to coordinate e-mail campaigns communicating the benefits available and how to use these benefits. These campaigns have been very effective in introducing the benefits provided by Universal Rx clients in a favorable way because of the collaborative effort to provide high quality medications safely and conveniently to members.

It has been a priority of Universal Rx to communicate well with Benefits Directors so they are educated on the benefits available and how to use them. Benefits Directors are crucial to the communication chain because they often have direct contact with the plan members, both while they are stateside and when they are overseas.

EPS Website Communication and Ordering

The EPS website allows a member to place their order online and also track their package once their medication has been shipped from the EPS pharmacy. These electronic capabilities make communication extremely simple between Universal Rx and the member.

Universal Rx manages e-mail communications using a one-on-one approach where a member is able to directly contact a Client Services Manager or EPS Manager in order to get their questions and concerns addressed.

The level of attention and service a member receives as an international employee is very personalized and prompt. A Client Services Manager sees the order through from beginning to end; from the time the order is submitted until the package reaches the members’ hands.

Universal Rx has extensive experience in developing worldwide communications strategies due to the nature of our many clients. Universal Rx can provide an unmatched level of benefits through our international mail order program as well as an unmatched level of personalized attention and service.
